Our Philosophy
The Majlis Foundation is an organisation that is constantly embarking into new frontiers of projects. Its niche cannot be tied down; it simply fosters environments where ideas regarding culture, art, philosophy, politics, science, history, literature and so on emerge, being exchanged and developed collectively. It host congregations that bring together tech leaders, philanthropists, scholars, world leaders and so on to foster new discourse on pressing problems affecting the modern world. These assemblies serve as the community’s backbone and a constant reaffirmation of its intellectual purpose and output. From the discourse and conclusions recorded here, the Majlis’ vision is brought to all intellectual spheres.
Chapter 2
The Majlis uses its resources and ideas towards reviving intellectual sophistication and momentum, that offer new lenses through which to understand the problems of our time. We are a network of ideas, thinkers and leaders leveraged to serve, engage, and benefit the world.
Chapter 3
Our Majlis is an assembly dedicated to proliferating wisdom. Our notion of being an assembly is twofold. We, the individuals assembling upon principles of wisdom, are the Majlis. The centre of wisdom that emerges, where knowledge nourishes and is nurtured, is itself the Majlis. The Majlis is its attendees in that our presence, ideas, and discourse serve as means to wisdom. Similarly, the Majlis is the space in which its attendees congregate, for such upholds our pursuit of wisdom, enabling the exchange that imbues and is imbued by its attendees. Our first act of gathering follows this definition of wisdom: A temporal act for the sake of truth.
